Robin's Confections began production in 2012 as a family business committed to making delicious homemade confections. Today, they operate a retail location in Biddeford and have expanded their product line to include chocolate covered Oreos, bagged candy and, of course, Needhams!

The Maine Needham Festival Planning Committee would like to thank the family of Joanne G. Conners for generously supporting our festival. Joanne learned how to make Needhams from her mother and grandmother while growing up in Millinocket. They called the candy “potato candy”. As a mother and Home Economics teacher, Joanne continued the family tradition by teaching her children and students how to make Needhams. Her family believes she would be very pleased to have her name associated with teaching youngsters how to make "potato candy" and perpetuate the tradition of this old-fashioned regional treat.
